Position Overview: Barnhart Crane & Rigging is looking for a Sales Support – Market Development professional to help keep our Market Development efforts organized and moving forward. This role supports the team by assisting with Master Service Agreement (MSA) coordination, managing customer bid portals, and helping gather and distribute market intelligence and sales leads.
You’ll work closely with customers, Market Development leadership, branch sales teams, and internal support groups to make sure key activities stay on track. The right fit for this role is someone who’s organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities while working independently.
Location: This role is based at our Service Center in Memphis, TN. Candidates must reside in the Memphis area or be willing to relocate prior to employment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Market Development with MSA development, renewals, and negotiations by tracking status, maintaining documentation, and driving next steps.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer outreach and follow‑up related to Market Development activities.
- Coordinate with branches and service center departments to gather information, maintain alignment, and ensure timely progress on assigned workstreams.
- Manage Barnhart’s participation in customer bid portals by monitoring opportunities, maintaining organization, and distributing relevant bids to appropriate branches.
- Support Market Development and Strategic Accounts efforts through market intelligence research and data tools (e.g., IIR, ZoomInfo).
- Review IIR project leads, generate PEC reports, and distribute leads to branches for follow‑up.
- Assist with building target customer contact lists and research to support sales outreach efforts.
- Maintain accurate trackers, reports, and documentation to ensure visibility and accountability.
- Provide general administrative and sales support as needed to keep Market Development initiatives organized and moving forward.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales support, administrative operations, contract coordination, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new systems including CRM tools, bid portals, and market intelligence platforms.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and customer coordination.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to take high‑level direction and independently execute tasks.
Additional Information:
- Primarily office‑based position.
- Minimal travel required; occasional travel for training or meetings may be necessary.
- Must be able to meet all fit‑for‑duty requirements.
