The branch manager leads the team in the safe delivery of Barnhart services to the company-wide network and select customers. Leadership is to be given in an organizationally healthy way that is in alignment with the growth needs of the company. Specifically, PEG exists to:

  • Serve the branch network
  • Launch people
  • Keep equipment ready for work
  • Develop specialized markets for sales

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Culture Creation
    • Provide leadership that is consistent with established Mission Statement and Core Values. Barnhart has chosen Servant Leadership as the appropriate model to reflect the culture of the “One Team”
  • P&L Management
    • Provide actionable analysis of financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.) in order to manage branch operations and determine efficient improvements.
  • Team Development
    • Responsible for all personnel at the branch. These responsibilities include regular feedback, formal evaluations, investment in training, along with representation and implementation of the company culture. Many team members will begin, grow and then be launched to other branches around the country. This positive turnover is to be eagerly embraced.
  • Health of intercompany (branch and departmental) relationships
    • Steward the branch’s unique role in the company that serves other Barnhart branches as well as customers in a way that is fair and promotes strong and healthy relationships.

  • Mechanically inclined with basic understanding of machinery and heavy construction equipment
  • P&L aptitude and ability to align around financial goals
  • Collaborative and able to build consensus through clear communication

  • Basic construction contract knowledge
  • Basic math and geometry skills
  • Demonstrated planning and leadership skills
  • Ability to quickly learn windows and web-based software applications
  • Bachelor's degree or sufficient experience
  • Must be able to travel as needed and participate on site as needed for sales and operational success

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

  • The Branch Manager reports to a Regional Director who provides counsel, access to corporate support and accountability for performance.
