Position Summary

The Domestic Logistics Manager is responsible for the logistics program growth and management. Directly responsible for budget more than $60MM. Accountable for the revenue of the program which exceeds $20MM. Strategically manages 100 third party carriers AutoZone’s fleet loads. The Domestic Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the relationships with 3PL’s, merchants, store operations, distribution centers and e-commerce to meet full truckload shipping requirements. The role is responsible for the planning and routing of 50,000 plus truck loads on an annual load basis.

· Manage the pickup and scheduling of 50,000+ annual loads

· Manage the outbound cross dock process for all AutoZone distribution centers

· Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies within the domestic supply chain to obtain efficiencies and reduce cost

· Manage the Logistics program to achieve internal financial revenue goals

· Responsible for service goal of 98% on time pickup and delivery

· Manage the Logistics Program freight index to ensure program is on budget

· Manage the relationship with 3PL partner, Transplace, encompassing day to day work and contract management

· Work with Distribution Centers to use the fleet as often as possible for backhaul and to optimize their network and cross dock schedules

· Communicate and sell the logistics program both internally and externally. Develop an excellent relationship with the AutoZone Merchants and vendors.

· Manage payment of freight bills per vendor contracts

· Ensure fixture deliveries are made on time to support 150 annual new store setup projects

· Responsible for all return loads from distribution centers

· Directly responsible for the development of direct reports.

· Directly accountable for the third-party transformation project

Education and/or Experience

REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field or equivalent

· Seven (7+) years’ direct experience in Supply Chain or Logistics

· Strong proficiency in MS Office applications
