Title: Sr. Systems Engineer

Duties: This Sr. Systems Engineer will design, create, test, deploy and support software applications using SDLC tools, Git, Postman/Junit, and Dynatrace/Tealeaf/Matlock (Kibana). Participate in high-level design sessions and produce low-level designs. You will delegate work to other systems engineers and associate systems engineers and collaborate with infrastructure and other IT teams to identify, support, and follow up on progress to meet goals. Troubleshoot problems in development and production environments.

Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related and 8 years of messaging service experience, including at least 5 years of:

• Managing Kafka clusters on GCP, Oracle, and on-prem servers
• Design, develop, test, and support software applications using Kafka, Zookeeper, and Pub-sub
• Maintain and support operations issues in production as Kafka Admin
• Java, XML, JSON, REST, and Shell
• Querying and analyzing data in multiple source systems including flat files, excel documents, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server

Employer will give 2 years’ experience credit for a master's degree.
