As a People Analyst on our People Analytics team, your role will be focused on building data reports and visualizations, supporting and validating data systems alongside our IT partners, and performing complex statistical analysis to continually improve the quality and efficiency of data. Working with our global teams, you will shape and influence a world class experience for our customers and play a key role in supporting data driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide data analytics services to help solve business problems, drive value, and gain strategy and insight from information related to our greatest asset—our 120,000+ AutoZoners
• Focus on highly complex business problems involving the acquisition, validation, and analysis of data
• Provide review and analysis of new data sources, including identifying data structure and quality issues
• Create views, tables, and queries in the production sandbox environment in support of analytics use cases
• Provide research and analysis on data sources in support of business requirements – and help both technical and non-technical team members understand what a dataset can (and cannot) support
• Create documentation to support the transition to production engineering delivery once the use cases are proven.
• Translate statistical findings into insightful recommendations with intent to present to business leaders at the Director / VP Level.
• Routinely provide relevant enhanced insights beyond the basic scope of requirements
• Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data analytics

Education and/or Experience

• Master’s degree in relevant field of study (statistics, economics, business analytics, finance, computer science etc.) OR bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, statistics, data engineering, or business analysis.
