Job Description
The Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable will play an essential role in the financial period close processes, report on performance of functions handled by the Merchandise Accounting team and manage specific duties assigned to the position. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in period close activities to include performance of adjusting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Work with both Internal and External Audit teams as needed (providing documentation, testing controls, audit confirmations, etc.)
- Work with Finance teams to update Cell Phone Reimbursement Reporting on a quarterly basis, supplemented with bi-weekly reporting.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Head regular review and analysis of vendors with net debit balances
- Other key projects as identified
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
- At least two years of professional Accounting or Finance experience
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time wisely while handling multiple projects
- Detail oriented
- Team Player
