Summary
The Associate Logistics Analyst will support the Logistics Department by coordinating and managing transportation from USA ports of entry through to delivery to AutoZone distribution center. Manage 7 dray and transload providers to ensure containers are picked and returned in a timely manner. Liaison with distribution centers to provide a quality delivery service. Support negotiation and ensuring billing by dray and transload providers is correct. Support and proactively communicate with internal business partners (Replenishment, Sourcing, Merchandising and Finance).
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of import ocean containers last mile from arrival in the United States through delivery to AutoZone Distribution Centers.
- Encompasses more than 15K annually.
- Six plus ocean carriers.
- Seven plus drayage and trans-load providers.
- $100MM plus of spend.
- Negotiate service contracts and communicate operational expectations with dray and trans-load providers.
- Assist managing the in-transit visibility, and data integrity quality reporting while escalating issues as necessary.
- 1,500 to 2,500 containers perpetually in-transit.
- Partner with trans-load provider to resolve system discrepancies and bring to closure with efficiency.
- Provide monthly volume forecast to drayage carriers to ensure driver and chassis availability is confirmed.
- Partner with drayage carriers to resolve ocean carrier freight release issues and US Customs Issues.
- Partner with dray and trans-load providers to reduce container fees associated with direct import deliveries.
- Third-party destination cargo management including routing guides, palletization instructions for transloads, KPI reporting, and visibility.
• Audit $100MM + of drayage invoices to ensure compliance to contracted rates and invoicing timeliness.
• Resolve EDI / distribution issues as pertains to the Deconsolidation Distribution Center (DDC).
• Chairperson of 10 X 30 minutes a week between dray / trans-load providers and Distribution Centers.
• Maintain open communication channels with AutoZone Distribution Centers, Merchandising, Replenishment and Sourcing Teams on status of Containers and Purchase Orders.
• Ownership of new vendor set up.
• Maintain and document revisions to Vendor Manual by understanding established instructions and requirements.
• Ability to cross train in the Export Analyst position to provide coverage during absence or vacation.

Requirements
REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field and
· 1-3 years of Supply Chain or industry experience
· Capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities
· Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
· Excellent verbal and written skills
· Excellent Excel skills
· Ability to work independently
· Detail oriented, organized, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Communicate and interact with internal and external leaders at all levels
PREFERRED:
· 1-2 years of international logistics experience
· Knowledge of US Customs and federal policies related to transportation delivery
· Advanced knowledge of drayage operations and importing processes
