SUMMARY
AutoZone is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to be part of our growing B2B Commercial operations team. As a Systems Engineer Ops, you will be responsible for the supporting of key business capabilities and technology solutions of services/applications with deep focus on production operations, capacity planning and performance management. Ability to solve complex problems, provide technical solutions, identify improvements and work on implementing your recommendations and collaborate well with other IT teams, Architects and business partners will be the key qualities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring scalability, performance and reliability of large-scale cloud and On-prem application & infrastructure.
- Support new features, scaling, automation and self-healing processes for sites and systems
- Identify and Implement code/configuration changes to improve performance and reliability as necessary
- Work with offshore team to hand over the tasks and reviewing the deliverables.
- Advocate for top-notch design standards and lead process improvements in collaboration with architects and Application Engineers
- Coordinate with product owners and business partners to address the Business problems and document them as needed.
- Ability to provide RCA of an issue working with teams, and ensure tickets are closed within SLA’s.
- Able to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision with solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to improve upon Mean time to resolve and Mean time to detect on large enterprise application.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or closely related required.
- Typically requires 4+ years' of experience in the role of a Software Engineer or similar utilizing Java, Spring, ATG, Linux/Unix, RDBMS is a must.
- Experience in Spring Boot, WebLogic, Apache/Nginx is highly preferred.
- Experience in developing/Supporting high volume ecommerce applications is must
- Experience with monitoring tools (DynaTrace/Splunk/ELK/APM, etc.) is must.
- Experience working with CDN providers like Akamai and Bot management is highly desired
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot critical production issues spanning applications/infrastructure and tune high volume online applications.
- Hands on experience using version control tools such as Git or similar is must.
- Previous experience in working on an Agile team is a preferred.
- Strong ability to collaborate and openly communicate cross-functionally, particularly with Operations teams.
- Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, driven, self-motivated, highly accountable with initiative and passion.
- Release Automation Engineering experience working with tools such as Jenkins, Jira is preferred.
- Experience in supporting web application and ensuring to learn and support on new functionalities implemented.
- Familiarity or experience in frontend and backend application development and troubleshooting
- Experience working/supporting application in GCP is preferred.
