Associate Process Improvement Project Manager Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)
The Associate Process Improvement Project Manager ensures that AutoZone’s programs are optimized to enhance the performance of AutoZone and its contractors. By leveraging resources and collaborating across cross-functional areas, this role aims to achieve approved deadlines, report project progress, and drive improvement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement Project Management:
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to map and analyze current processes.
- Deliver business process improvements that streamline activities, ensuring robustness, compliance, increased quality, and efficiency.
- Project Efficiency Enhancement:
- Manage multiple process improvement projects within StoreDev.
- Decrease timelines for the StoreDev Pipeline (from Store Approval to Store Open) and Construction Schedules (from Notice to Proceed to Punch List).
- Resulting efficiencies will lead to earlier store openings and increased revenue.
- Cost-Plus Contract Administration:
- Assist in administering Cost-Plus contracts with general contractors.
- Assess sustainable opportunities.
- Selectively increase the number of Cost Plus with Guaranteed Maximum contracts to reduce overall construction costs.
- Liaison and Reporting:
- Act as a liaison between Construction, Set-up, Maintenance, and Sustainability teams.
- Communicate project progress, timelines, and deadlines.
- Key Metrics Reporting:
- Utilize software tools (StoreDev, PM System, and Project Tracker in Excel) to manage and report on key Pipeline metrics.
- Compile, manage, and report all construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Assist management with compliance and reporting of financial, general contractor, and construction team metrics using various tools (StoreDev, PM System, and Financial Tracker in Excel).
- Interact Camera Systems – Interacts with OxBlue camera system, Excel and PowerPoint to assist management with A. I. Analysis of Activity and Safety reporting.
- Decision Skills:
- Ability to make decisions daily that fulfill fiduciary responsibilities and policies using strategic thinking and analysis
- Demonstrated experience coaching and influencing cross-functional team members to desired results
- Must have effective time management, conflict management, problem solving and strong organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external vendors, cross-functional departments, and all levels of management
- Demonstrated negotiating experience
