Position Summary
The Construction Operations Analyst is part of the Store Development department. The position is an integral part of the Construction team and will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with gleaning actionable information from performing multi-dataset analyses.
Key Responsibilities
Expert or advanced Microsoft Excel skill-level is required. Proficiencies with other, more advanced analytical software is preferred (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.). Candidate must have great attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The goal is to provide the company with accurate information that will help in operations and strategic planning. These responsibilities fall into three general categories listed below:
  • Construction Estimating
    • Prepares construction estimates and identifies potential construction difficulties projecting costs for each elevation.
    • Continues to evaluate estimates by costing changes, additions, and site requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Construction Scheduling
    • Oversee project scheduling process from bidding to close out.
    • Assist with the development and management of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project schedule reporting.
  • Construction Analysis
    • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years related experience or equivalent required.
  • Advanced knowledge of other Office 365 tools such as Planner, Power BI, Power Apps and Forms a major plus.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel and MS Project skills required.
  • Strong procedure development and implementation skills and demonstrated process improvement ability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet constant deadlines.
  • Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve processes and performance
  • Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Excellent organization skills
